Maejo University Thailand visited UNSOED
As a part of its commitment to become a world class university, Unsoed keeps extending its international network. On Wednesday (5/6) Unsoed welcomed the visit of Maejo University, Thailand, represented by Dr. Jatupong Varith, Dr. Bunyat Montien, Dr Paisarn Kanchawong and Dr. Preeda Nathewet. The visit aimed at initiating cooperation between two universities especially in food and fishery engineering. It was a return visit for Unsoed’s to Thailand in August, last year.
Vice Rector IV, Budi Utomo Ph.D in his welcome speech said that both universities have the same bases, i.e. agriculture and rural development, which may lead to a vast range of cooperation between the two. After the welcome ceremony, the guests visited Unsoed’s Agricultural faculty, Economics faculty, and experimental farm. The visit ended up with a presentation on Maejo University’s scholarship for their Food Engineering (master degree), Fishery Engineering and Tourism Development (Ph.D) programs.
